BLI Managing Partner Jeff Walker recently completed teaching a course to law students from St. John’s University and other schools. The summer session was held at St. John’s Rome, Italy, campus, where Walker taught European Legal History.

BlueLaw’s Dickson Bailey deployed to Afghanistan in July 2009 to serve as elections training and capacity building manager on USAID’s Support to Electoral Process (STEP) project. He will help the Afghan national government develop elections security, management and administration capacities, including implementation of a Ballot Tracking Database system, establishment of elections Complaints Processing Centre, improving public outreach and election education programs, and maintaining and updating the voter registration. Dickson is a former elections officer of the Government of Canada. In his 35 year career, he has held numerous government and senior elections management posts including ten years of service as Chief of Party for USAID elections capacity building projects in Georgia, Kosovo and Albania.
