BlueLaw International participated in the June 2010 USAID Democracy and Governance officers’ training – Senior Partner Janet Lord was invited to speak at USAID’s annual training in Washington DC where she presented on BlueLaw’s work in the area of disability-inclusive development and shared strategies for disability inclusion in rule of law, human rights, elections, governance and civil society strengthening

BlueLaw’s Defranco collaborates on study of disability support service modernization

Legal Associate Allison Defranco launches research collaboration with the University of Galway, Disability Rights Institute directed by Professor Gerard Quinn, set to run from June to September 2010. Allison traveled to Galway at the start of the research project which concerns a comparative study of the modernization of disability support services. BlueLaw is contributing to the international and European law component of the research.

BLI Partner Walker Teaches Summer Session

Jeff Walker teaching BLI Managing Partner Jeff Walker recently completed teaching a course to law students from St. John’s University and other schools. The summer session was held at St. John’s Rome, Italy, campus, where Walker taught European Legal History.
